Mushrooms
Mushrooms are a food that I learned to like because of their health benefits; after trying different recipes, they are now a staple part of my diet.
Some studies have shown eating mushrooms may help reduce the risk of dementia, and it may also help in reducing the risk of cancer. Therefore, because I am living with cancer, I think it is a good reason for me to incorporate mushrooms into my diet. The texture of mushrooms and the flavor, I find to be a great replacement for meat.
Because of their health benefits, Mushrooms have been a staple diet for ancient times; researchers continue to learn more about them it has been shown mushrooms are low in calories and fat, yet they are packed with vitamins, fiber, and minerals; lots of nutrients that help feed our immune system.
I am always searching for foods that would be safe and helpful in my healthy diet menu, mushrooms are on the list. Stir-frying mushrooms and onions in olive oil is a tasty and nutritious side dish. Mushroom soup is another one of my favorites healthy foods.
